Kyle was raised in Monahans, TX, and later moved to Lubbock after marrying the love of his life, Monica Albright, on August 8, 2018. Kyle found a new life with Monica and step-daughter, M'Leigh. Not only did he find love with his new family, but on their farm, with the animals and his sobriety. He worked many years in the oilfield as a drill hand, driller, and ultimately as a flowback and well tester before retiring in 2024.
A man of faith, Kyle was a non-denominational Christian with a steadfast relationship with Jesus. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and playing video games. Known affectionately as a "Mr. Fix-It," Kyle always had a solution for any challenge—often adding his own trademark "Kyleism" along the way.
Kyle had a big heart for animals, especially his beloved chickens. He was active in his community as a member of the Lubbock Saddle Club, West Texas Drifters, and District 2 American Association of Sheriff's Posse & Riders Clubs. Kyle was also deeply proud of his membership in AA and the sobriety he maintained through the program. Kyle's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Kyle is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Etta Marie Babcock.
He is survived by his wife Monica Babcock of Lubbock, step daughter M'Leigh Grace Logan of Lubbock, daughters Emerald Babcock-Lan of Orange County, CA and Crystal Babcock of Monahans, Brother Terry Babcock and wife Catlyn, their children Clara and Jaythen and a sister Dodge "Dodie" Babcock.
