Rosary for Kristen Danielle Lopez, 15, of Hale Center, TX, was recited Sunday, March 12, 2006, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, March 13, 2006, in the same church with Rev. John Smith and Rev. Reymundo Rodriquez officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Miss Lopez died Thursday evening, March 9, 2006, in Hale Center. She was born to Christopher S. "Toby" and Donna Pearl Calderon Lopez, April 19, 1990, in Plainview, TX. She was a Sophomore at Hale Center High School, where she was on the Varsity girls basketball team, track team, she ran cross country for the Owls, was in the band, and was involved in the Gifted and Talented (GT) program. She was a class officer and student government member. Danielle loved to read and was also a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. She is survived by her parents, Chris "Toby" and Donna Lopez and her 2 sisters, Denise Lopez and Kailea Eloisa Lopez all of Hale Center, TX. Danielle is also survived by grandparents, Jimmy and Dora Calderon, Joe and Anita Betancur and her great granddad, Simon Martinez also all of Hale Center, TX. Abell Funeral Home
