Kimberly Dees

Funeral services for Kimberly Dees, 42, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2005, in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial followed in the Strip/Pearce Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mrs. Dees died Thursday, December 30, 2004, in Hale County, TX. She was born October 10, 1962, in Amarillo, TX to William Hugh McClement, III, and Norma Jane (Lightfoot) McClement. She married Victor Dees September 12, 1986, in Abernathy. She was raised in the Cotton Center and Abernathy areas and graduated from Abernathy High School in 1980. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. Kim always made a home for stray animals that would wander up to their home just outside Abernathy. She is survived by her husband, Victor Dees of Abernathy, TX, 2 children, Scottie McClement of Sedalia, Missouri, and Meagan Dees of Abernathy, TX, a brother, William Hugh "Butch" McClement, IV of Slaton, TX, 3 sisters, Kris Spradling of Meridian, TX, Gloria Prince of Pottsboro, TX, and Stephanie Kerr of Slaton, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be sent to an animal shelter or a favorite charity. Abell Funeral Home
