Mrs. Knox went to be with her Lord and savior on Monday, June 24, 2024, in Lubbock, TX. She was born June 16, 1940 in Lubbock, TX to Emmett and Helen (Hargrove) Crow. She was raised in County Line, TX and attended Abernathy schools. She married the love of her life, W. R. "Pete" Knox, December 9, 1956 in County Line. June fiercely loved her family. She was an encouraging wife and a warm and caring mother. As her children’s biggest cheerleader, she never missed an opportunity to support her kids in all their extracurricular and school events. She was a talented seamstress who took pride in making clothing for her daughters and eventually her granddaughters. June was an ever-present Nana, attending every activity for her 5 granddaughters. She was also a doting great grand mother to her 12 great grandchildren. She loved to spend time camping in Fun Valley and traveling the US with Pete and their family in their RV. June spent her lengthy career in education pouring into the students of Abernathy ISD. After retirement, she served on the Board of Directors of the Covenant Auxiliary. June was an active member of First Baptist Church of Abernathy. She was preceded in death by her husband W.R. "Pete" Knox in 2015 and her son, Darren Knox in 1994. June is survived by her two daughters, Debbie and husband Shawn Sampley, and Denice and husband Rusty Abbe, both of Lubbock, TX. Her five granddaughters, Lindsey and husband Stuart Bartley of Lubbock, Ashley and husband Brody Robertson of Lubbock, Alyssa and husband Jared Hatfield of Tomball, Kelsey and husband Rebel Blackwell, IV of Richardson, and Regan Cardinal of Lubbock. And her 12 great grandchildren Ashtyn, Jaxson, Kason, Kelton, Breslon, Brylon, Jace, Hadley, Abbey, Finley, Reid and Walker. The family suggests memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church, 411 7th Street or to The Isle at Raider Ranch 6806 43rd Street, 79407.
