Memorial services for Judy Blaylock Short, 63, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the Hale Center Church of Christ with David Joiner and Jody O'Briant officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Short died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. She was born May 21, 1949 in Hereford, TX to Maurice Clifford and Quessie Mae (Smith) Hill. She attended schools in Hereford prior to moving to Hale Center where she lived from 1974 until 1976. She returned to Hereford until 2008 when she moved back to Hale Center. She married Silas Short February 2, 2004 in Quinlen, TX. She was a Church of Christ. She is survived by her Husband, Silas Short of Hale Center, TX, Mother, Quessie Mae Jackson of Plainview, TX, 2 sons, Jeff Blaylock of Abilene, TX, Jeremy Blaylock of Princeton, TX and a daughter Renee Blaylock Guerrero of Kingwood, TX. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Sarah, Alyssa, Kaitlynn, Connor, Tate, Ethan, Bryce and Breeley, a brother Clifford Hill of Kerrville, TX and 2 sisters, Gloria Thomas and Janice Daniel both of Hereford, TX.
