Graveside services for Josefina "Josie" Montoya, 63, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 5, 2014, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Louisa Paniagua and Rev. Ruben Villareal officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Montoya died at her home in Lubbock, Saturday, August 2, 2014. She was born August 27, 1950 in Hale Center, TX to Ysidoro Rangel Castilleja and Marguerita Torres (Flores) Castilleja. She married Joel Montoya in 1993 in Lubbock. She lived part of her childhood in Hale Center before making Lubbock her home. She was very active in her church, the Temple of Olives. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and making blankets. She was a faithful, humble Christian and was a loving and caring mom, wife, grandmother and woman. she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Reyna. She is survived by her husband Joel Montoya of Lubbock, 4 children, Irene Vega and husband Jesse, Lucy Rangel, Joey Rangel and wife Misty and Abel Rangel and wife Angela all of Lubbock, ^ grandchildren, Jessalyn and Thomas Vega, Joseph and Joshua Rangel and Julian and James Rangel, 3 sisters, Mary Jane Garcia, Amelia Martinez and Yolanda Lara, 6 brothers, Jesse Castilleja, Robert Castilleja, Jr. Castilleja, Richard Castilleja, Ralph Castilleja and Sammy Flores.
