Services for Johnny O. Busby, 80, of Hale Center, TX, were held 10:00 am Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in the Hale Center First Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Meacham and Rev. Carroll Green, pastor officiating. Graveside services were held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2006, in the Willow Cemetery, Haskell, TX. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center. Mr. Busby died in Hale Center, TX, Monday, February 6, 2006. He was born December 19, 1925 in Haskell, TX. He served in the U.S. Army and moved to Hale Center from Lubbock, TX, in 1994. He married Charlene Owens, July 13, 1996 in Hale Center. He was a produce salesman for Ben E. Keith Foods for 30 years and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hale Center. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Busby of Hale Center, TX, a son, Johnny Busby of Lubbock, TX, 2 daughters, June Harmon of Shallowater, TX and Kelly Kaspick of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 sisters, Sue Mahood of Odessa, TX and Becky Furgie of San Angelo, TX; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
