Joe Michael Muse

Memorial service for Joe Michael Muse, 73, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. Damon Pearce officiating. The family will greet friends at a reception following the service in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church. Joe Michael died Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Lubbock, TX. He was born July 15, 1950 in Plainview, TX to Carl Ray and Kathryn (Plott) Muse. He married Liza Beth Cain and to that union was born a son, Gordon. On March 8, 2003, he married Sara O’Neill and together they had a daughter, Makaela. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Member of the Scottish Rite and was a Khiva Shriner. He owned and operated Focal Point Framing and Gallery in Lubbock for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife Sara Muse, a son, Gordon Muse and wife Dana, a daughter, Makaela Muse, and his siblings, Tommy Muse, Betty Johnson, Dennis Muse, and Judy Short, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
