Services for Jewell Rogers, 93, of Austin, TX and formerly of Abernathy, TX, were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in the First Church of the Nazarene, Post, TX, with Rev. Garland Wallace and Rev. Arlen Ankle officiating. Burial followed in the Terrace Cemetery, Post, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Rogers died Sunday, November 20, 2005, in Austin, TX. She was born October 13, 1912 in Comanche County, TX, to H. J and Emma Alice Bingham. She married F. W. Rogers in Post, TX, June 21, 1931, he preceded her in death May 29, 2001. She moved to Abernathy in 1985 from Post, TX. She is survived by her daughter, Nova Mang and husband, John of Wimberly, TX, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews. The family suggests memorials be sent to the First Church of the Nazarene, Abernathy, TX.
