Jesse Goolsby

Jesse I. Goolsby was born October 8, 1945 to Woodrow and Martha (Conn) Goolsby in Taylor, TX. Jesse was raised in Hamlin, TX where he graduated high school. After high school Jesse attended Texas Tech where he earned his bachelors in 1968. This same year he married Frances Turner at the Abernathy Church of Christ on August 3, 1968. Jesse then served as a captain in the United States Air Force in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972. Following his honorable discharge he continued his education at West Texas A&M obtaining his masters in business. Jesse moved to Abernathy, TX in 1992. Jesse loved his grandkids greatly. Jesse is survived by his wife Frances Goolsby of Abernathy, two sons Robert Goolsby of Abernathy, and Gregory Paul Goolsby of Lubbock, TX, six grandchildren, and one they raised, Austin Goolsby and six great grandchildren, a brother Thomas Goolsby, and a sister Janet Rice. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
