Janie Trujillo

Graveside Mass for Janie Trujillo, 85, of Abernathy, TX will be celebrated on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Abernathy Cemetery with Father Brian Wood officiating. The family will gather to receive friends on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:00pm - 6:00pm at Abell Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. Janie died on Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on January 31, 1936 in Houston, TX to Miguel and Maria (DeLaRosa) Sanchez. Janie moved to Abernathy in the late 70s where she lived the remainder of her life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading the Bible and taking care of others. Janie is survived by 10 children Bernard Bolanos, Guadalupe Bolanos, Jr., Jimmy Bolanos, Gregory Bolanos, Veronica Ross, Manuel Bolanos, Michael Bolanos, David Bolanos, Encarnacion Gonzalez, Jr., Rosalinda Polando, 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, 1 sister Caroline Castro and 1 brother David Villarreal.
