James Dollar

Services for James Dale Dollar, 68, of Hale Center, TX and formerly of Dallas, TX were held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in the Hale Center Church of Christ with Charles Cook officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mr. Dollar died Sunday, December 12, 2004, in Hale Center. He was born November 25, 1936 in Lockney, TX to Harrell Dollar and Katherine Lucille Foraker. He moved to Hale Center as a young boy with his family from Lockney,He married LaJuana Ritchey Dollar in 1956 and in 1964 he moved to the Dallas area. In 1985 he married Sharron Regina Dollar. He owned and operated Preston Royal Barbers in Dallas for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, TX. He moved back to Hale Center in June of 2004 to help care for his Mother. He is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Glen Dollar, and 2 grandchildren, David James Hall and Cliffy Taylor Dollar. He is survived by his Mother, Lucille H. Foraker of Hale Center, TX, a son, H. Blane Dollar of Greenville, TX, 3 daughters, Kim Hutton of Sarasota, FL, Lesha Zimmerman of Howe, TX, and Shelly Hall of Early, TX, and 6 grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
