Ina Lemond

Graveside services for Ina LeMond, 94, of Alamogordo, N.M., and formerly of Hale Center, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2003, in the Hale Center Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Cameron, pastor of the Hale Center First United Methodist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. LeMond died Wednesday, January 29, 2003, in Alamorgodo, N.M. She was born on January 23, 1909 in Elida, N.M. She married Al LeMond in 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She was the daughter of J.L. and Fanny Monroe and the daughter-in-law of Walter and Sallie LeMond. She had been a Hale Center resident for over 60 years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mae Smithee, Amy Kemp, Oma Roney, Dot Pollard and Jo Nicholson, and her brother J. L. Monroe. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bill and Sallie Jo Scott of Alamogordo, N.M. 1 granddaughter and her husband, James and Susan Rogers of High Rolls, N.M. 1 grandson and his wife, Will and Kayla Scott of Houston, TX. 3 great grandchildren, Kate Anna Rogers and Trey Rogers of High Rolls, N.M. and Ashley Nicole Scott of Houston, TX.
