Hythen Moore

Hythen J. Moore, 86, of Lubbock, TX, passed away January 8, 2014. She was born on a farm near Wilson, Texas to T. F. (Tom) and Ella Moore. Her career began with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Lubbock, then promotions took her to Houston, TX and later to St Louis, Missouri. She retired in St Louis and later moved back to Lubbock to be near her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ and as long as her health permitted she attended worship services at Sunset Church of Christ. Graveside services were held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Llano, TX under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. She is survived by five siblings: Wilella Parham, Longview; Mary Savage, Lubbock; Billye Dever, Austin; Clarence Moore and his wife Wilma, Kerrville; and Harold Moore, Sunray.
