Funeral mass for Hermalinda Perez, 47, of Abernathy, TX, was held at 11:00 am Friday, May 25, 2007, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Father Timothy Judd officiating. Cremation arranagements were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Perez died in Lubbock on Thursday, May 17, 2007. She was born October 5, 1959 in Lubbock, TX. She moved from New Deal, TX to Abernathy in 1966 with her family, and she married Manuel Perez in 1979 in Abernathy. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by 2 sons; Emanuel Perez, 2001 and Sebastian Perez who died in 2003. She is survived by her husband, Manuel Perez of Abernathy, TX, 3 brothers, Robert Martines, JR, Santos Martinez and Hugo Martinez, SR., all of Abernathy, TX, and a sister, Maria Areola also of Abernathy, TX.
