Henry Harrell

Services for Henry Harrell, 73, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Viewing will be held at Abell Funeral Home, Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm Tuesday. Mr. Harrell died at his home in Abernathy, Monday, January 28, 2013. He was born October 19, 1939 in Puckett, Mississippi to Essie Dez and Ina Mae (Burnham) Harrell. He married Patricia Barton, February 23, 1963 in Lubbock, TX. Henry owned and operated Henry's Automotive in Lubbock for many years. After retirement he became a seasonal truck driver for Lubbock Cotton Growers. Henry was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard (Junior), Jim and J. C. Harrell. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia of Abernathy, TX, 4 children, Ronald Moe Harrell and wife Kristy of Artesia, NM, Tammy Brewer and husband Pete, Becky Belliveau and husband Tom and Kevin Harrell and wife Lindsay all of Abernathy, one sister, Fannie Peacock of Abernathy, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be sent to Hospice of Lubbock.
