Hayden Brewer

Hayden Jewell "Jay" Brewer was born July 25, 1930 in Enloe, TX. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and moved from Petersburg, TX to Abernathy, TX in 1995. He pastored several churches prior to moving to Abernathy and was also a mechanic. Mr. Brewer died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. He is survived by a daughter, Janis Pelletier and husband Joe Wilbur of Phoenix, AZ, a son, Keith Brewer and wife August of Portland, OR, adopted family, David, Patricia and Andrew Register of Abernathy, TX, 3 brothers, Roy Brewer, Jerry Brewer and his wife Carla, Clydean Brewer and a sister, Peggy Smith and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Southwest Cancer Center, UMC Foundation, Hospice of Lubbock or Meals on Wheels. There are no services planned at this time.
