Funeral services for Harold Edward Miller, 66, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 15, 2008, in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Bolton, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Miller died Sunday morning, August 10, 2008, in Lubbock, TX. He was born June 6, 1942 in Aspermont, TX. He married Hazel England on June 18, 1965 in Aspermont, and they moved to Abernathy in 1968. He had been a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1972. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Ann Miller. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Hazel Miller of Abernathy, TX, 5 children, Harold Miller, Jr. of Plainview, TX, Anthony Miller of Corpus Christi, TX, Felicia Miller, Lesa Jones and Evelyn Miller all of Austin, TX, a brother, Glover Miller of Aspermont, TX, 3 sisters, Betty Sneed of Dallas, TX, Ella Sue Johnson of Pecos, TX and Esther Ruth Bennett of Abilene, TX and 3 grandchildren.
