Gregory Borchardt

Services for Gregory Lane "Cheese" Borchardt, 41, of Hale Center, TX, will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 2, 2010, in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmy Cameron and Rev. Carol Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. After suffering a massive brain hemorrhage Saturday evening, Greg was serenaded by angels up to the throne Tuesday evening, June 29, 2010. Greg was born October 6, 1968 in Brownfield, TX. He graduated from Hale Center High School in 1987 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as Usher. He married Jana Boyles, March 17, 2001 in Lubbock, TX. Greg served the Hale Center community by volunteering for the Hale Center Fire Department and was a member of the Living Water Emmaus. He was employed by Hale County and was an avid Nascar fan. He is survived by his wife, Jana Borchardt of Hale Center, parents, Roy and Elwanda Borchardt of Hale Center, TX, a brother, Berry Borchardt and his wife Tracey of Odessa, TX and 3 aunts and uncles, Dean and Betty Carver and Sid and Janis Berry all of Hale Center, TX and John and Nina Berry of Plainview, TX.
