Goldie Hillman

Services for Goldie Hillman, 84, of Hale Center, TX were held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 1, 2003, in the First Baptist Church with Silas Short officiating. Burial followed services in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Hillman died Monday, April 28, 2003 at South Haven Residential Care Home in Lubbock, TX. She was born on November 23, 1910 in Hollis, OK, and married Ray Hillman on December 23, 1939, he preceded her in death. She moved to Hale Center from Petersburg in 1975. She was a volunteer for the Nursing Home, Hale County Farm and Ranch Museum and Hale Center Senior Citizens. She was an artist and preserved family memories in her oil paintings. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors; 1 sister, Zelma Davis of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of Lubbock or Hale Center Senior Citizens. Abell Funeral Home
