Graveside services for Glenna Lee Downs, 84, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in the Littlefield Memorial Park, Littlefield, TX, with Rev. Mike O'Donnell officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Downs died Monday, October 25, 2010, in Lubbock, TX. She was born April 12, 1926 in Lockney, TX. She married Harland S. Downs on October 5, 1944 in Clovis, NM, and he preceded her in death January 9, 2000. They moved to Abernathy in 1957 from Dimmitt, TX. She was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church and Senior Citizens. She is survived by 3 sons, Harland Downs, Jr, of Huntsville, Alabama, Randy Lee Downs and Danny Glen Downs both of Abernathy, TX, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister, Geraldine Williams of Allen, TX.
