Graveside services for Gladys R. Woods, 85, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 11:30 am, Thursday, March 1, 2012, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. W. R. Bolton, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Woods died Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 30, 1926 and was a longtime Abernathy resident and member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Reese Carwell and Carolyn Darty both of Lubbock, TX, Robert Lee Woods of Abernathy, TX, Pat Johnson of Sherman, TX, and Malcom Woods of Crosbyton, TX.
