Rosaries were recited for George A. Hernandez, 55, of Abernathy, TX at 7:00 pm both Saturday, August 25, 2006 and Sunday, August 26, 2006, in St. Isidore Catholic Church. Funeral Mass wsd celebrated Monday, August 28, 2006, in the same church. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Hernandez died at his home, Friday, August 25, 2006, in Abernathy, TX. He was born March 16, 1951 in Lubbock, TX, to Tom and Ruth (Ramos) Hernandez. He married Guadalupe "Lupe" Olguin, July 6, 1974 in Abernathy, TX. He was a lifelong Abernathy resident and was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Crusillistas and served as a Church Usher. He is preceded in death by a brother, David Hernandez, July 7, 1972. He is survived by his wife, Lupe Hernandez of Abernathy, TX, a son, Andy Hernandez and his fiance', Crysatl Perez both of Abernathy, TX, a daughter, Gracie Hernandez and her fiance', Joe Martinez both of Lubbock, TX, his parents, Tom and Ruth Hernandez and 2 brothers, Manuel and Enselmo Hernandez all of Abernathy, TX.
