Graveside services for Genobeba Soza, 67, of Chickasha, OK, were held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 8, 2003, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Ray Ramos officiating. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Soza died Friday, September 5, 2003, in Chickasha, OK. She was born on December 22, 1935 to Remijio and Petra Zapata, in New Braunfels, TX. She married Alonzo Soza in 1966 in Hollis, OK, and he preceded her in death in 1976. She had lived in Hollis, OK and Hale Center, TX before moving to Chickasha, OK from Abilene, TX in 1999. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Angie Reyes, Oct. 15, 2002 and a brother, Nicholas Zapata. Survivors; 2 sons, Jimmy Fuentes of Rule, TX and Fernando Fuentes of Hollis, OK. 7 daughters, Mary Reyes and Anita Castaneda both of Hollis, OK, Carol Davila of Abilene, TX., Susan Larios of Amarillo, TX, Patty Herrera of Chickasha, OK, Genevie Aldaco of Bridgeport, TX, and Vickie Fernandez of Hereford, TX. 5 brothers, Anastacio Zapata of Campbellton, TX, Bibiano Zapata of Garden City, KS, Pablo Zapata of Hollis, OK, Refujio Zapata of Holbert, OK and Sammy Zapata of Hale Center, TX. 4 sisters, Alfonsa Vargas of Hollis, OK, Pauline Guerrero and Elena Rosales both of Lakin, KS and Patsy Guiterrez of Lubbock, TX. 40 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
