Frances Perkins

Graveside services for Frances Perkins, 81, of Abernathy, Texas will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00pm in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Terry Wright officiating. The family will gather to receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 9:30am - 11:30am at Abell Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mrs. Perkins died Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. Emma Francis was born on July 8, 1939 in Farmersville, Texas to Henry & Lottie (Wisdom) Chastain. The family moved to Abernathy where Frances grew up and attended school. She married Bobby Joe Perkins on March 11, 1957 in Abernathy. Frances enjoyed sewing, visiting the mountains and snow as well as listening to old country music and Elvis Presley. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids. Frances was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Perkins on July 28, 2020, and a brother Delton Chastain. Frances is survived by her son Rodney Perkins and wife Esther of Amarillo, Texas, a daughter Vicki Campbell of Lubbock 4 grandchildren Terrell Campbell and wife Amanda of Littlefield, Texas, Andrew Perkins, Elizabeth Perkins and partner Leanne all of Amarillo, and Tristan Chancey of Lubbock, 6 great grandchildren Jerin, Avaley, Taylor, Everhett, Emma, and Elliot, and 2 sisters Janet Mathes and husband, Larry, and Tammy Doyle.
