Frances E. Goolsby

Frances E. Goolsby, 78, of Abernathy, Texas, died on September 17, 2025. She was born on May 26, 1947, in Lubbock, TX to J.C. and Addie (Reagan) Turner. Frances married, Jesse Goolsby on August 3, 1968 at the Abernathy Church of Christ. She graduated from Paris Junior College in Paris, TX as a Registered Nurse. They moved back in 1992 to make Abernathy their home. Frances found her greatest joy in her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She and Jesse shared many special memories traveling to Ruidoso and Hobbs, New Mexico to gamble. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Goolsby, daughter-in-law Jessica Goolsby, brother Kenneth Wayne Turner, and sisters Barbara Lamb and Linda Rapp. Frances is survived by her sons Robert Goolsby and Gregory Paul Goolsby, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX.
