Florentina Jovero Brooks

Florentina Jovero Brooks, 81 of Abernathy, TX was born July 15, 1939 to Benito and Gertrude (Jadera) Jovero in Jaro, Philippines. Florentina married Cecil L. Brooks February 14, 1978 in San Diego, CA. Ms. Brooks worked for the San Diego Unified Schools using her passion for cooking in the school cafeterias. She moved with her family from San Diego to Abernathy February of 2008. Florentina enjoyed living a simple lifestyle and attended the St. Isidore Catholic Church. Florentina is preceded in death by her husband Cecil L. Brooks, March 23, 2013. She is survived by her son Joseph Brooks and wife Windy of Abernathy, 4 grandchildren Joseph Brooks, Jr., Marie Brooks, Joshua Brooks, and David Brooks, brothers Mateo Jovero and Guillermo Jovero, nephews Mervin Jovero and Alex Jovero, niece Gracelyn Devega.
