Graveside services for Felicia Johnson, 90, of Abernathy, TX, were held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 13, 2004, in the Carter Cemetery, Carter, OK. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Johnson died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, iin Lubbock, TX. She was born August 29, 1913 in Carter, OK to Fred Earlen Brodrick and Vernie Ethel Ridley Brodrick. She married J. L. "Cotton" Johnson October 3, 1931 in Elk City, OK. He preceded her in death May 6, 1996. She moved to Abernathy from Hale Center in 1942, and had previously lived in Carter. She was a member of the Abernathy First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Johnson in 1938. She is survived by 2 daughters, Arlene Shadden of Abernathy and Colleen Powell of Amarillo, TX, 2 graddaughters, Vicki Cook of Choctaw, OK and Kelle Goodnight of Pittsburg, TX. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, Casey & Susie Cook and McCall Goodnight. Abell Funeral Home
