Graveside services for Elizabeth Imogene Payne Nicholson, 63,of Ransom Canyon, TX, were held at 10:00 am Tuesday, September 5, 2006, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cameron, pastor of First United Methodist Church officating. Services were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. She died at her residence in Ranson Canyon, TX Friday, September 1, 2006. She was born July 26, 1943 in Bryan, TX. She graduated from Cotton Center High School, Cotton Center, TX, in 1962. She married Raymon Britt Nicholson on June 13, 1963 in Cotton Center and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Special Education. She was a longterm caregiver at Ballinger School and the Lubbock State School. She is survived by her husband, Britt Nicholson of Ransom Canyon,TX, a daughter: Alisa Ceniceros and her husband John of Lubbock, TX, a special granddaughter, Leah Nicholson of Ransom Canyon, TX, a brother, James Clifton Payne, III and his wife Becky of Ft. Worth, TX, 3 sisters: Kathy Neiman of Cleburne,TX, Lou Payne and her partner Cindy Lucind of Temple, TX and Julia Payne of Austin, TX. Abell Funeral Home
