Dorris Fudge

Graveside services for Dorris Fudge, 72, were held 11:00 am Saturday, September 27, 2003, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Caroll Green, pastor of First Baptist Church, Loop, TX. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday, September 27, 2003, from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Ms. Fudge died on September 22, 2003 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a sudden illness. She was born of October 27, 1930 in St.Louis, Missouri. Lovingly known by all as "Mama Fudge" she decicated her life to caring for her daughter and volunteering for MHMR and the Special Olympics. She was a Plainview resident before moving to Colorado Springs in May of 2002. She is survived by a son: Steven Fudge and wife, Marsha of Monument, CO 2 daughters: Susan Fudge of Colorado Springs, CO and Sally Wright and her husband, Terry of Hale Center, TX Her children's father: Chester Fudge of Hale Center, TX 2 nieces: JoAnn Sneider and Lola Dugas of Wellington, CO 1 nephew: Danny Wallace of Apple Valley, CA 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren She is preceded by a son, Richard Fudge, a brother, Joe Russell Regan and a sister, Nedra Wallace The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Special Olympics, 1318 13th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79401 Abell Funeral Home
