Graveside services for Doris Evelyn Lynch, 85, of Lubbock, TX, will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the Hale Center Cemetery with Rev. Terry Wright officiating. the Family will gather to receive friends from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, Friday, November 10, 2023, at Abell Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Lynch died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 14, 1937 in Hale Center, TX to John Andrew and Martha Ghee (Faith) Hagood. She graduated Hale Center High School in 1957 and attended nursing school. She married L. D. Lynch on August 16, 1958 in Clovis, NM. She was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Lubbock. She was a homemaker, sold Avon and took great care of her parents, husband and family. She loved her daughter unconditionally and grandchildren. She crocheted many afghans over they years. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. D. Lynch and her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Malinda "Mindy" Lynch and husband William "Shorty" of Lubbock, TX, 3 grandsons, Christopher and wife Sarah, Lee and wife Brianna and Veston and wife Breauna all of Lubbock, TX, 9 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lamkin of San Antonio, TX, Kimberlie Lamkin of Little Rock, AR, Kenton Lamkin-Neal and Mason Neal both of Marshal, TX, Jennifer and Evelyn Lamkin, William and Thomas Lynch, Adaline Rose Lynch all of Lubbock, TX, multiple nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be sent to Jerusalem Community Baptist Church, P. O. Box 112, Hale Center, TX 79041.
