Services for Donna M. Sisson, 60, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 28, 2003, in the Northside Baptist Church, Abernathy, TX with Rev. Joel Perez, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Sisson died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, in Lubbock, TX. She was born on July 21, 1943 in Springfield, Ill, to Roy and Lorraine Alice Garecht, who preceded her in death. She was raised in Needles, CA, and had lived in Clovis, NM for 29 years. She married Dan Sisson June 16, 2000 in Clovis, NM. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Lotty R. Peebles, Sr. Survivors; Husband, Dan Sisson of Lubbock, TX, 1 son, Tom Cooper of Centerton, Ark. 2 daughters, Tina Hamlett of Texarkana and Lori Baird of Birmingham, Alabama. 2 sisters, Shirley Gilbert of Aberdeen, Maryland and Sherry Lovelady of Aurora, Colorado. 3 brothers, Chuck Garecht of Needles, California, Lotty R. Peebles, JR, and Carl D. Peebles both of Ocala, Florida. 6 grandchilren. The family suggests memorials be sent to Hospice of Lubbock, PO Box 53276, Lubbock, TX 79453, or to a favorite Charity.
