Services for Susan Dianne Tiner Owens, 58, of Maysville, OK, and formerly of Hale Center, TX, were held at 2:00 pm at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home with Kermit Webb and Jason Freed officiating. Burial followed in the City of Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, TX, under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Owens died Friday, October 29, 2004, in Hale Center, TX. She was born January 26, 1946 in Lubbock, TX to L. J. and Thelma Tiner. She earned her Masters degree in Library Science from Northwestern College in Denton, TX. She taught school in Goliad, TX, Cotton Center, TX and Spade, TX. She married Buddy Owens, May 27, 1988 in Cato, OK. She loved travelling, and had seen many parts of the world. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Owens of Maysville, OK, her father, L. J. Tiner of Hale Center, TX, 2 brothers, Sam Tiner and his wife Bernadene of Breckenridge, TX, and Mike Tiner and his wife Judy of Lubbock, TX, one sister Becky Ramirez and her husband Frank of Floresville, TX, and numerous neices and nephews.
