Services for Debbie Hennig, 62, of Cotton Center, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 2, 2022, in the First Baptist Church, Cotton Center, with Rev. J. D. Templeton officiating with burial to follow in the Center Plains Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. The family will gather to receive friends from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Abell Funeral Home, Abernathy. Debbie died Monday, August 29, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 12, 1959 in Plainview, TX to Sam and Billye (Morton) Warren. She was raised in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School in 1978. She owned and operated Hair Technique in Lubbock. Debbie married Ray Hennig in Lubbock, October 2, 1982. She later became the secretary for the First Baptist Church in Cotton Center and she was a GA leader. She also served as a group leader for Alpha-1, which is the organization supporting genetic lung disease. Debbie enjoyed travel and spending time with family and friends. She was a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Troy Warren and Johnny Warren, a sister, Lynda Stevens and her parents, Sam and Billye Warren. Debbie is survived by her husband, Ray Hennig of Cotton Center, a son, Matt Hennig of Amarillo, TX. The family suggests memorials be sent the First Baptist Church, GA fund, at P. O. Box 287, Cotton Center, TX 79021.
