Graveside services for Daisy Fay Boykin, 87, of Shallowater, TX, were held at 11:00 am Friday, February 1, 2008, in the Abernathy Cemetery with Rev. Les Jackson, Nursecare Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Boykin died at her home in Shallowater Monday, January 28, 2008. She was born October 5, 1920 in Happy, TX. She married William Rodney Boykin on June 28, 1939 in Abernathy, he preceded her in death November 28, 2001. She moved from Lubbock to Shallowater in 1975. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Brockett. She is survived by 2 sons, Anthony Boykin of Shallowater, TX and Quinton Boykin of Austin, TX, 2 daughters, Lilliam Sanders of Princeton, TX, and Brenda Baldwin of Shallowater, TX, 2 brothers, Curtis Lebow of San Angelo, TX, and Cletus Lebow of Memphis, TX, 3 sisters, Tressie Snider of Lubbock, TX, Ramona Barcheers of Hobbs, NM and Oleta Buzbee of Redmond, OR, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
