Cuma Moore

Services for Cuma Anna Moore, 86, of Alvin, TX, were held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 25, 2004, in the Northside Baptist Church, Abernathy, TX, with Rev. Tracy Holcomb officiating. Burial followed in the Becton Cemetery, Becton, TX, under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Moore died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, in Webster, TX. She was born on February 3, 1917 in Wildorado, TX, to Ira Herbert. Burris and Etta Price Burris. She had been an Alvin resident since 1997. She was a member of the Almeda Baptist Church and the "Young At Heart Choir". She was also active with 4-H Clubs while resideing in California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Earl Moore, in June of 1995. Also sisters, June Ingram and Maxine Bradley. Brother, Jack Burris and a granddaughter, Heather Moore. She is survived by one son, Andrew Moore and wife Judy of New Orleans, LA. One daughter, Earlene Reed and husband Doug of Alvin, TX. sisters, Susan Morgan of West Palm Beach, FL, Fern Anderson of Dunlap, CA and Bobbie Ruth Brooks of Amarillo, TX. brothers, Harding Burris of Elida, NM and George Rex Burris of Happy, TX. 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
