Services for Cora Lee Churchwell Jacobs Vaughn, 98, of Hale Center, TX, were held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 26, 2012, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Carrol Green and Rev. Robert Malcolm officiating. Burial followed in the Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Vaughn died Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at her residence in Hale Center. She was born March 24, 1913 in Comanche County, TX to James and Cora Effie Churchwell. She married Bert Jacobs on January 11, 1936 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1994. She later married harold Vaughn on March 11, 1995 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 1999. She is survived by 3 daughters, Donna Husley and husband Carl of Bosque Farms, NM, Sandra DeJarnett and her husband Don of Hale Center, TX and Marsha Watkins and her husband Glen of Plainview, TX, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
