Services for Clara "Mamaw" Gregory, 96, of Petersburg, TX, were at 10am Tuesday July 1, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Petersburg, TX with Vernon Ferguson officiating. Burial followed in the Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Clara went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 28, 2008, while at Lakeridge Nursing Home in Lubbock, TX. She was born in Gordon, TX on December 2, 1911. She married RA Gregory Oct 1, 1928 in Petersburg, TX. He preceded her in death on Oct 1, 1993. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the First Baptist Church since she was 8 years old. She served her church in many different capacities. She was a member of Eastern Star and the 1936 Study Club. She also had a great talent for china painting. Clara is survived by 4 daughters Belva Malone Albuquerque, NM, Beth & Bob Quisenberry and Marie Parr of Petersburg, TX, and Sherry & Charles Hall of Pampa, TX her sister -in-law LaVerne Martin & husband Charles of Plainview, TX, 13 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 son-in-laws, 5 sisters and a brother. The family suggest memorials to the First Baptist Church in Petersburg or your favorite charity. Abell Funeral Home
