Services for Clara Buske, 86, of Abernathy, TX, will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 18, 2013, in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Buske died Friday, March 15, 2013, in Lubbock, TX. She was born March 14, 1927 in Klamath Falls, OR to Clarence A. and Elizabeth (Mortimer) Parker. She married J. F. Buske, February 16, 1951 in Klamath Falls, He preceded her in death on August 22, 1999. She was employed at Lubbock ISD as a cafeteria worker for a number of years. She was a member of the Abernathy First Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Lynn Waters in 1992. She is survived by daughter, Debbie Hernandez of Lubbock, TX and 3 sisters, Jean Flackus of Klamath Falls, OR, Beth Davis of Rye, CO and Mary Davis of Bonanza, OR. The family suggests memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church Building or Library Fund, 411 7th Street, Abernathy, TX 79311.
