Graveside services for Betty McMinn Haney, 78, of Hale Center, TX, were held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Plainview, TX with Harvey Wampler, pastor of People's Church in Shallowater, TX, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Haney died on October 16, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 8, 1931 in Hale Center, TX and married Thurman Gail Haney, who preceded her in death on November 3, 2004. She had lived in Dimmitt, Friona, Plainview and Hale Center. She had worked as an LVN for several doctors in the Plainview area. She is survived by 3 sons, Robert Haney of Amarillo, TX, David Haney of Abernathy, TX, Michael Haney of Plainview, TX, 3 brothers, James E. McMinn of Fort Worth, TX, Kenneth McMinn of Little Rock, Arkansas, Larry McMinn of Plains, TX; 8 grandchildren,11 great grandchildren.
