Memorial services for Bertina Rosales Gomez, 67, of Hale Center, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Southern Baptist Iglesia Del Carpentero, 312 W. Cleveland, Hale Center, with Rev. Victor Hernandez, pastor officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Abell FuneraL Home & Flower Shop of Hale Center. Mrs. Gomez died March 2, 2016, in Hale Center. She was born March 16, 1948 to Timoteo and Dominga (Hernandez) Rosales. She married Rudy Gomez on July 9, 1966 in Hale County. She was a seamstress and enjoyed crafting, sewing and oil painting. She loved her chihuahuas, treated them like her children, and she had a love for Elvis. She was a longtime Hale Center resident. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Elojia Balderas and 2 brothers, Lucio and Tim Rosales. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Gomez of Hale Center, a son, Joey Gomez, a grandson, Rudy Hinojosa Gomez and great grandson, Arial Gomez, both of Uvalde, TX. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Juanita Roybal of Ennis, TX, Erma Amaya of Okeechobee, FL and Anita Flores of Hale Center, a brother, Rudy Rosales of Ennis, TX and a number of nieces and nephews.
