Services for Belinda Sue Ketchum Spencer, 59, of Austin, TX, were held at 10:00 am Monday, December 1, 2008 in the First United Methodist Church, Hale Center, TX, with Mark Adams, Pastor of Austin Bible Fellowship, officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home in Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Spencer died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at her home in Austin, TX. She was born March 27, 1949 in Amarillo, TX and married Joseph R. Spencer, Jr. on September 8, 1967 in Levelland, TX after graduating from Levelland High School. She moved home to Lubbock, TX in 1990 following her husband's retirement from military service, but has lived in the Austin area for the past four years. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Spencer of Austin, TX, her mother, Margie Ketchum of Hale Center, TX, 3 children, Kevin Spencer and his wife Barrie , Shanna Weiss and her husband Kelly and Justin Spencer, all of Austin, TX, 2 granddaughters, Laura and Rachel Spencer; 3 sisters, Donna Harris of Lubbock, TX, Teri Reeves of Plainview, TX and Debbie Roberts of Hale Center, TX.
