Augustine Cantu

April 14, 2004 Augustine Cantu, 73, of Abernathy, TX, passed from this life to eternal life with Jesus Christ. Rosary was recited at 7:30 pm Friday, April 16, 2004, in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Arnold Bravo, officiating. Mass was celebrated at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2004, in the same Church with the same officiant. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Cantu was born September 25, 1930 in Geronimo, TX and moved to Abernathy in 1943. She married Agapito Cantu, November 7, 1948 in Plainview, TX. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, where she served as a Guadalapana. She is survived by her husband, 1 son, Agapito Cantu, Jr., 5 daughters, Irene Rodriguez, Irma Saenz, Beatrice Rios, Belinda DeLos Santos and Melissa Lopez, 2 sisters, Ruth Hernandez and Trinidad Montanana, 20 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to St. Isidore Catholic Church or to the American Heart Assoc. Abell Funeral Home
