Audra Brooks

Graveside Services for Audra Brooks, 84, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 10:00 am Friday, May, 22, 2009, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Brooks died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in Lubbock, TX. She was born July 23, 1924 in Brownfield, TX to James Lloyd Porter and Nora Mae Leeth Porter. She married Johnie Augustus Brooks on April 29, 1943 in Lubbock, TX and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1995. She was raised in Abernathy, where she attended school and moved to Lubbock as a young adult. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann Williams of New Deal, TX, a son, Donald G. Brooks of Roswell, NM, 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Abell Funeral Home
