Armando Trevino, Sr.

Services for Armando Trevino, Sr., 48, of Abernathy, Texas will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10:00am in the New Harvest Baptist Church of Abernathy with Rev. David Caballero officiating. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy. The family will gather to receive friends on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 9am to 8pm at New Harvest Baptist Church with a Celebration of Remembrance that evening from 6pm to 8pm with Celebrant Lupe Salinas. Mr. Trevino died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home. Armando was born July 5, 1972 to Ramon & Elida (Ramirez) Trevino, Sr. in Abernathy. He married Leticia Salinas on January 13, 1990 in Abernathy. Armando was born and raised in Abernathy, living in Lubbock, TX, Hale Center, TX & Slaton, TX before returning to Abernathy. He worked at Lummus Corporation in Lubbock, TX for 30 years as a fabricator. Armando enjoyed welding in his free time as well as cheering for his Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech Red Raiders. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon & Elida Trevino, Sr., two brothers Ramon Trevino, Jr, and Rene Trevino, Jr. and a sister Rosa Lopez. Mr. Trevino is survived by his wife, Leticia Trevino and son, Armando "AJ" Trevino, Jr., both of Abernathy, siblings Amador Trevino of Waco, TX, Aurora Cardenas and husband Gerardo Puga, of Abernathy, Demetrio Trevino of Abernathy, Angelica Placencio and husband, Joel, of Plainview, TX, Enrique Trevino and wife, JoAnn, of Abernathy, Arturo Trevino and wife, Dorothy, of Abernathy, David Trevino and wife, Rachel, of Irving, TX, Adela Garcia and husband, Alfredo, of Hale Center, and Renata Castro and husband, Jose, of Slaton, 2 godsons Oscar Trevino of Frisco, TX and Jordan Timothy Salinas of Abernathy, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
