Rosary for Antonia Ruiz Vasquez, 61, of Hale Center, TX were recited Sunday evening, 7:00 pm, June 4, 2006, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Hale Center. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 10:00 am, June 5, 2006, in the same church. Burial followed services in the Hale Center Cemetery under the direction of Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Vasquez died Thursday, June 1, 2006, in Lubbock, TX. She was born June 19, 1944 to Guadalupe Ruiz and Santos Castillo Ruiz, in Robstown, TX. She married Gilberto Vasquez in 1963, and they moved to Hale Center in 1985 from Garden City , KS. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Jesus Ruiz, Guadalupe Ruiz and Trino Ruiz. She is survived by her husband, Gilberto Vasquez of Hale Center, TX, a son, Gilbert Vasquez, Jr. of Colorado City, CO, a daughter, Jessica Vasquez of Hale Center, TX, 3 grandsons, Gilbert Vasquez, III, Tyler Diego Vasquez of Plainview, TX and Isaiah Guadalupe Vasquez of Hale Center, TX, a granddaughter, Desiree Danielle Vasquez of Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank & Senaida Ruiz of Garden City, KS, Juan & Petra Ruiz and Raul and Victoria Ruiz all of Hale Center, TX, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Manuela & Leopoldo Martinez of Hale Center, TX and Virginia & Victor Sauceda of Olton, TX, and further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
