Antonia Flores

Rosary for Antonia G. Flores, 94, of Hale Center, TX, was recited at 7:30 pm Friday, September 30, 2011, in St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Rev. John Smith, pastor, officiating. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 1, 2011, in the same church with the same officiant. Burial followed services in Parklawn Memorial Park in Plainview, TX under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Hale Center, TX. Mrs. Flores died at her home, Wednesday, September 28, 2011. She was born February 11, 1917 in Silver Bell, AZ. She married Manuel G. Flores on October 13, 1940 in Phoenix, AZ, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1981. They moved to Hale Center in 1957 from Slaton, TX, and she was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. She is survived by 2 sons; Manuel Flores of San Angelo, TX and Rudy Flores of Amarillo, TX, 3 daughters, Josephine Lucero and Betty Lou Martinez both of Hale Center, TX and Mary Lou Flores of Aberdeen, Maryland, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
