Private burial for Anthony Rodney Boykin, 78, of Shallowater, TX, was held in the Abernathy Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mr. Boykin died Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Lubbock, TX. Anthony Rodney Boykin was born March 19, 1943 in Lubbock to William Rodney and Daisy (Lebow) Boykin. He was raised in Lubbock where he graduated from Monterey High School. Tony was a Christian, animal lover, loving brother and he loved to sing. Tony enjoyed time to himself and liked reading western novels. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Daisy Boykin and a sister Priscilla Brockett. Tony is survived by a brother, Quenten Boykin, and 2 sisters, Brenda Baldwin and Lillian Sanders.
