Services for Anna Maude Hopper, 94, of Lubbock, TX, were held at 10:00 am Monday, July 5, 2010, in the Northwest Church of Christ, Plainview, TX, with J Henderson officiating. The family received friends following the service. Services were under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Mrs. Hopper died Friday, July 2, 2010, in Lubbock, TX. She was born June 24, 1916 in Crosby County, TX. She married R. N. (Bob) Hopper, December 24, 1937 in Lubbock, TX, and he preceded her in death August 20, 1995. They moved to Petersburg, TX in December 1943 where they farmed and raised their family. In 1975 they moved to Plainview, TX where she lived until moving to Lubbock in 2007. She was a member of the Texas Extension Homemakers of America in Floyd County, TX, and the Northwest Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts. She is survived by her 2 sons, Norman Hopper and his wife Marge of Lubbock, TX, and Ronnie Hopper and his wife Nena of Petersburg, TX, 5 grandchildren, Brandon and Tammy of Bedford, TX, Travis and Janel of Friendswood, TX, Tylene and James Rhoades of Bedford, TX, Courtney and Mike Bidney of Minneapolis, Minn, and R.N Hopper and Lyndi of Petersburg, TX, 6 great grandchildren and 2 "on the way".
