Anival J. Ramos

Rosary for Anival J. "Jack" Ramos, 61, of Lubbock, TX will be recited Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 6:00pm in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Wood officiating. Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 24. 2023 ,at 10:00am in the same church with the same officiant. Viewing will be held at Abell Funeral Home Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy. Mr. Ramos died at his home in Lubbock, Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was born on August 16, 1961 to Jose E. and Magdelena (Salas) Ramos, Sr. Jack was raised in Abernathy and graduated from Abernathy High School and then attended West Texas State University. Jack married Rosie Paez and to that union was born a son, Isaac Ramos. In later years he married Norma Bustillos and together they had a son, Gabriel Ramos. Jack retired from the U.S. Postal Service in October, 2022 after working for 35 years as a facilities manager. He resided in the Lubbock and Abernathy areas his entire life. Jack is preceded in death by his father, Jose E. Ramos, Sr. in 1999, and 3 brothers, Jose E. Ramos, Jr. in 1979, Ruperto Ramos and Arnulfo Ramos both in 2017. He is survived by his sons, Isaac Ramos and Gabe Ramos, both of Lubbock, TX, mother Magdalena Ramos of Lubbock, a granddaughter, Iris Ramos, of Lubbock, 2 brothers Alonzo Ramos of Canyon, TX and Hector Ramos of Abernathy, and a sister Maria Murdock of Austin, TX.
